Payment Processing Times
The time it takes for your payment to process determines how soon your order can be fulfilled. This help article explains the usual time frames for payments processing.
We have no control over the processing time of any transaction and so there is no way to expedite processing of any payments. Time frames on this page are indicative only and we suggest that you check with your bank or financial institution for specific processing times.
Credit and debit card transactions
Card transactions made online are processed by Stripe. We get notified as soon as your card is charged successfully. Most orders are usually fulfilled soon after your card has been charged successfully.
Pre-authorisations
In some cases, we may pre-authorise (or “hold”) the value of your order in advance. When this happens, you will usually see the amount as “pending” or “hold”. We will claim the amount later once the order has been fulfilled or other conditions met.
If your order is cancelled before it is processed, any pre-authorisation is released to your card. Depending on your card issuer, it may take up to 2 weeks for the pre-authorised funds to reflect back as usable funds in your account or card. If you need more information about when a pre-authorisation is expected to be released, please reach out directly to your card issuer.
Bank transfers
Bank transfer times depend on your location and which account you are paying into.
Local bank transfers
Usually, bank transfers made to our bank account from a New Zealand bank account finish processing within 1 hour if your bank is different from ours. Transfers made from the same bank as ours is processed in real time.
New Zealand banks process interbank (from one bank to another) transfers between 9 AM and 11 PM each day and payments to other banks are usually sent every hour. Your bank may have a different processing time frame. We recommend checking with them directly for more accurate information.
International bank transfers
If you are paying into one of our foreign currency bank accounts, your payment may take up to 3 business days to process.
If you are paying into our New Zealand bank account from overseas, it may take up to 2 weeks for your payment to reflect in our bank account in some cases.
